Galaxy Nexus would be the first device running Android 4.1 Jelly Beans

Google is all set to release the next version of Android operating system with the name of Android 4.1 Jelly Beans. Although so far it is not confirmed which device would be the first one to run this OS, it appears that Google is planning unlocked Galaxy Nexus for this purpose. This was located on a small Google Play product listing where it was identified that unlocked Galaxy Nexus would be the first device running Android 4.1 Jelly Beans.
However, the text does not specifically identity Galaxy Nexus to be the very first device having this honor, so there are other possibilities as well. Since there are rumors about the possibility of a dedicated Google tablet to be launched by Google, this tablet might be the first device with the latest version of Android. Google I/O is just around the corner and there are very strong speculations and expectations that Google would launch its own version of a 7 inch tablet with the name of Google Nexus during this event. This 7 inch tablet would have a price tag around $200. A tablet with decent technical specs from Google having a price tag of just $200 is sure to do great in the market.
For the rumored Google tablet, it is being said that Google has manufactured it in collaboration with Asus. It is also expected that this tablet would come with quad-core Tegra 3 processor, thanks to the collaboration of Asus. Asus has mainly collaborated to manufacture the hardware of this new tablet.
Android OS has been doing extremely well in the market of mobile devices ever since its inception. The older versions, Android 2.0 Donut and 2.1 Éclair, were quite popular among the users as well as developers. With each successive version, the popularity of the OS increased and at present, smart phones running Android outnumber phones running any other OS. The latest version, Android 4.1 Ice Cream Sandwich, which has been optimized to run equally efficiently on smart phones as well as tablets, is highly praised by the critics as well as common users.
The announcement of a possible Google tablet during Google I/O is just a rumor and previous record of Google tells that such a possibility is not very likely. It is also possible that the official launch of the device is several months away. To actually know what Google has in store for us, we would have to wait for a few more weeks.
