Samsung Galaxy Golden the second dual-screen flip-phone announced by Samsung

Innovation is very important in the market of mobile devices and it is on the basis of innovation and creativity that companies lead the market. This is particularly true for the giants such as Apple, Samsung, HTC etc. Samsung is particularly leading this trend with the launch of smartphones and tablets with unique features and design. The latest device from the company in this regard happens to be Samsung Galaxy Golden which is also known as Samsung Galaxy Folder. The most remarkable aspect of this phone is that it would be equipped with 3.75 inch dual screens. What’s more, the device would also have a numerical dial pad. So this is basically a flip phone with full features of a smartphone.

There is some information regarding the technical specs of this innovative device, but no official confirmation for the time being. As per the leaked user manual, the dual screens on Galaxy Golden would be AMOLED displays having a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. A quad core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor would power the phone and there would be 2GB RAM memory onboard. We know that there would be two cameras onboard, although details about those cameras are not available for the time being. Presence of Android 4.1.2 as the operating system brings along several useful apps and features such as Project Butter for smooth scrolling, Google now as well as time saving notifications feature. The features place this device in the mid-range.

The technical specs, however, are not confirmed and should be read with a pinch of salt. The code name of Samsung Galaxy Golden is SCH-W789 and it is expected to be launched by China Telecom soon, although exact release date is not known yet. The phone would have support for both CDMA and GSM networks. In Korea, the phone is expected to be launched later this month for SK Telecom and Korea Telecom. After the Korean and Chinese market, we can expect the phone to be launched in other places. It’s quite interesting actually that Samsung is gearing up for a flip phone when the market of flip phones was considered to be almost dead. Maybe Samsung could revive the trend with this device. Let’s see if this actually happens and whether this device is appreciated by tech critics and common users.
