Galaxy Note is among the most unique devices that you would be able to spot in the market of the smart phones and it was certainly a bold step from Samsung to manufacture such a device. The phone was launched in October last year and now that six months have passed since its release, it seems that the device is not doing badly in the market. Initially, there were several reservations considering the giant size of the device and people were not certain whether the device would actually be successful in the real world, the phone has turned out to be quite successful. According to a press report from Samsung, the company has shipped about 5 million Galaxy Notes since its announcement last October. Although this number is not as impressive as the 10 million of Galaxy S2 during the first six months, it is still quite good considering the initial reservations and the unique style of the phone, since with a massive size of 5.3 inches, this device is certainly not suitable for all kinds of people. However, a point to be noted is that this number, 5 million, is the number of devices that have been shipped by Samsung so far and not the actual number sold, which could be quite low. But nonetheless, this number is also quite an achievement. Besides, Galaxy Note has not yet been released all around the world and would be released in Japan during April. This release would take place under the Carrier NTT Docomo and would also be equipped with the LTE technology. Being equipped with LTE, it would bear the name of Docomo Next Series Galaxy Note SC-05D.
The exact release date of Galaxy Note in Japan happens to be April 6th. Technical specifications of this new device are not very different compared to the original version that was released back in October. It would come with 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 32 GB of internal storage capacity and would be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Besides, the device would be available in white color. After Galaxy S2 and LG Optimus, this would be among the very first devices in Japan that would be equipped with the LTE technology. This and the other two devices would be running on NTT Docomo’s “Xi” LTE network. So far, there is no information about the exact price tag that we would see on this device in Japan.
