Although the official launch date of Samsung Galaxy S3 has not yet arrived, there are already about 9 million pre-orders for this phone, which pretty much indicate that it would be a blockbuster. So the phone has lived up to the hype that was seen before its introduction. According to an Samsung official, the company manufacturing these devices in Korea is running at its full capacity, producing about 5 million devices per month, and still there is some catching up to do. The device was announced during a Samsung event in Londonon 3rd May and there is little doubt that this would be among the most popular smart phones of all time.
Samsung has incorporated some cutting edge features in this phone, such as 4.8 inch display which is the largest display in the smart phones market, voice recognition assistance just like the Siri in iPhone 4S, and constant monitoring by the 1.9 mega pixel front end camera. This camera would monitor the owner of the device and accordingly switch the status of the screen. The phone was introduced with the words “You speak, it listens. It turns off when you look away. … It’s resting, waiting for you to wake up,” by a Samsung executive during the May 3 event.
The color choice for the phone is also quite unique, and we would find this device in two colors: Marble White and Pebble Blue. The 8 mega pixel rare end camera of the phone can capture 20 images at a time and capture the best one out. Besides, it would also have the facility of automatic tagging of the friends present in the photos.
