Samsung has joined hands with Eurosport to bring a free app for Galaxy S3

Almost every day there is some new news about some kind of update regarding Samsung Galaxy S3, the latest flagship from Samsung. The device has already been released in Europe while the release for the US market would most probably take place in June. According to the latest move from Samsung, the company has joined hands with Eurosport to bring a free app for Samsung Galaxy S3 which would allow the users to watch the London 2012 Olympics for free. The app is available for download from Samsung Apps as well as Google Play.

Free subscription for the Eurosport app is available from 14 July to 12 August, by which customers would be able to enjoy free 2012 Games on their handsets. However, if the customers would be interested in the app after 12th of August, they would need to pay regular charges of £4.78 per month. But during the above mentioned period, they would be able to enjoy free Olympic Games on the 4.8 inch HD display of the device.

Samsung has been working quite efficiently to market Galaxy S3, which has already become the device with highest number of pre-orders in history. Samsung has also announced 50 GB of free DropBox storage for the users of Galaxy S3, although this offer might not be opted by the major carriers of the US, for reasons unknown as yet. Another facility that the owners of Galaxy S3 would be able to enjoy is that they would be able to watch the games without the need of WiFi connection, thanks to the 3G support of the device. However, this might prove to be a bit expensive since watching games on the device all day long would result in high usage of the data limit of device. Besides, Google has also announced to provide high quality images on WiFi connections, so it would be more interesting and affordable to watch these games via WiFi connection.

As it turns out, Samsung is not the only tech giant investing to bring Olympic Games for its consumers. Acer, who also happens to be an Olympic partner, has also announced to provide the same free Eurosport subscription for the users of its tablet, Iconia Tab A510.
