Soon after the release of Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung has started rolling out the updates for the device. For users who have purchased this device, you only need to hit the software update buttons in settings to benefit from these over the air updates. The downloading and installation of the updates would not take more than just a few minutes. According to the tech experts, this update for Galaxy S3 has a very short change log which means enhanced stability for the device. The exact size of the update depends upon the configuration of the device. However, roughly estimating, the size of the update would be about 9 MB. But there are also reports about the size being 31 MB. The exact size of the update would be clear within a few days.
So far, the kind of improvement that this over the air update would bring is also not clear. People who have downloaded and installed the update on their device have not really noticed any big change and the device was as smooth as ever. Many people said that the only noticeable change that they could observe after that installation of the update was that that software version changed from I9300XXLEF to I9300XXLF2. Other than that, there wasn’t really any noticeable change.
But this update, which has been rolled out only after a couple of weeks of the official launch of the device, does signify that Samsung is serious in maintaining high standards for Galaxy S3. It also means that Samsung would continue to look after and rectify any possible problems that the consumers of Galaxy S3 might face. Besides, since the update has so far been used only by a few people, the actual results might not be revealed. Only after the update is installed and used by a large number of people would we be able to see the actual changes that Samsung has made. But even if there are not any noticeable changes, the device seems to work perfectly fine and there does not seem to be any need for an update.
Galaxy S3 is set to release for the USm arket on 21st of June and even though Apple has been trying to stop this release due to alleged patent infringement by Samsung, Samsung has announced that the announced schedule for the release would be followed.
