Samsung is on the forefront of smartphone industry when it comes to creativity and innovation. The company virtually revolutionised the industry with the launch of its “phablet” devices a couple of years ago. This time around, Samsung seems to have set its sight on the flip phones. Samsung has unveiled two new Android phones with flip form factor, first the Samsung Hennessy and  second Samsung Galaxy Golden .

As we’ve already spoked about the Samsung Galaxy Golden, now it’s time for the Samsung Hennessy, a dual screen flip phone running Google Android. Flip phones seem to be a thing of past but a dual screen smartphone with the latest features and Android OS is really something that has grabbed the attention of tech critics as well as common users.

From the front side, Samsung Hennessy looks quite similar to a standard smartphone. It’s with the flipped front that the second screen on the other side is revealed. This second screen contains a full-on keyboard below it. When the flip screen is closed, it’s not very easy to distinguish it from any other smartphone if you don’t look closely.

The technical specifications of Samsung Hennessy place it in line with the mid range Samsung smartphones. The two touch screens are 3.3 inches in size with a resolution of 480-by-320 pixels. It is equipped with a 5 megapixel camera and it fitted with 1500mAh battery. It is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor which is pretty handsome for a mid range phone. Internal memory of this device is 8 GB but users can enhance the memory with the supported microSD card. The operating system for this phone happens to be Android 4.1 Jelly Bean running in conjunction with Samsung TouchWiz user interface.

GPS connectivity over Bluetooth and WiFi is also integrated into the phone. So far Samsung has only announced the phone in China and there is no information regarding the possible release and price of the device for the rest of the world. While there is not very high excitement about the phone, people certainly are quite curious to check it out. Let’s hope that after the Chinese market, the phone would actually make its way to other markets, which might just happen over the next few weeks.

Another good thing about Samsung Hennessy is that it has dual SIM support for CDMA and GSM networks. This means that if the device is launched in the US, users would be able to get their hands on the unlocked version.  You would also have the possibility to unlock the phone by using our service:  http://www.samsungimeiunlock.com/samsung-hennessy-unlock
