Samsung would be releasing in October the next version of Galaxy Note

Samsung released its giant device with the name of Galaxy Note last year and, against all the predictions and expectations, the device actually proved to be very successful in the market. Samsung was able to sell more than 7 million units of the phone which certainly proves its popularity. Now the latest rumors are that Samsung would be releasing the next generation version of this remarkable device in October this year, not much far from the expected release of iPhone 5.

The original version of Galaxy Note had some pretty impressive technical specs and the upcoming version would certainly have some improvements over the previous version. As per the expectation, the next version would come with a quad-core Exynos processor along with a 12 mega pixel camera and an extended battery life. It is also expected that the build quality of the phone would also be improved due to the use of unbreakable plane (UBP) display. This display is a better version of Samsung’s flexible display technology.

The size of the original Galaxy Note was the main source of attention since it was a sort of blend of a smart phone and a tablet. A device with a 5.3 inch display can neither be strictly categorized as a smart phone nor a tablet. Rumor also has it that the display of the next generation version would be even larger which, however, would be taking it a bit too far. It is highly unlikely that Samsung would further increase the size of the display in the presence of its 7 inch Galaxy Tab. With further increase in size, Galaxy Note would almost become a tablet rather than a smart phone.

Another noteworthy aspect is that this device would most probably come with the latest version of Android known as Android Jelly Beans. Google is expected to officially announce the launch of this version of Android pretty soon, may be even within a month. However, most of the information is still based only on rumors and there isn’t any official information to support it. To know for sure what exactly Samsung is cooking, we would have to wait for a while till we encounter some official information in this regard.
