The Samsung Galaxy Express has already been launched in United States and this mid-range device is now going to be launched in Europe. It is said that the version would be same like the one launched in US but the key areas would be different. Equipped with a Qualcomm’s energy-savvy 28nm Krait processor on a Snapdragon chip, this Android handset supports 4G LTE technologies. Similar to its earlier versions this version runs on an up to date Android 4.1. Jelly Bean.

Samsung is presenting great features in Samsung Galaxy Express and offering the device at affordable price. Samsung Galaxy Express has an excellent capturing quality with its 5-megapixel camera. Its design is somehow same like Galaxy S III which feels good in hands with nicely rounded corners and a thin profile of 0.37 inch (9.3mm). Samsung Galaxy Express is made up of plastic and has a glossy finish.

The Galaxy Express possess a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen and the screen is brilliant with saturated colors. However Samsung Galaxy Express presents a colorful screen but its size is WVGA 280X800 pixel resolution, which is a little bit disappointing. Galaxy Express’s screen with low pixel density of around 200ppi effects things such as text readability. Apart from disappointing resolution, Samsung Galaxy Express has a good-looking screen with vivid colors, wide viewing angles and good sunlight legibility.

Few weeks ago, Samsung has officially launched its mid-range device Samsung Galaxy Express i8730 in Germany and soon the device would be available in UK. Mobilicity is offering Samsung Galaxy Express for a cost of £314.39 (about €370), this price is less than the expected retail price for Germany that was estimated €489.

The device is very similar to the Galaxy Express that was launch by AT&T in the US. The device is featured with a 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus WVGA display, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with Glonass, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, 1.3MP front-facing camera as well as 5MP rear camera with LED flash and 720p video recording, 1GB of RAM along with 8GB of internal memory and a MicroSD card support to expand storage up to 32GB. Moreover it is powered with a 2, 00 mAh battery and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box. Samsung Galaxy Express is very handy with weigh 139.1 grams, and measures 132.2 x 69.1 x 9.3 mm.

The handset is only available in White color version. It is also rumored that the device will be soon available in Asian markets but further details are still unrevealed.

Unlocking Samsung Galaxy Express brings multiple benefits like the freedom to use your phone with any GSM network carier around the globe, such as T-Mobile, AT&T, Vodafone, Orange, O2, SFR, Fido, Telus, TIM, Rogers and others. Unlocking will increase the value of your phone and will also help you avoid expensive roaming fees when travelling. You can get an unlock code for your IMEI here.

It seems that Samsung is close to striking gold with the Galaxy S4 as the device was very well received in retail market and large demand is expected for Samsung’s newest flagship. We have discussed before about Samsung Galaxy S4 price and availability so we already know it will be launched in 50 countries worldwide by the end of April. So let’s see the latest news for US market enthusiasts.

DigiTimes reported that in the first month, a shipment of around 10 million units is expected and about 30 million units are predicted for second quarter of 2013. Shipment numbers are not so significant for other brands but regarding the high demand of Samsung Galaxy smartphones, it seems that the company will be finishing the first shipment in record time. Unlike HTC, Samsung experience no supply issues with the S4. While HTC is facing problems with the supply components of its HTC One, Samsung manufactures most of the parts utilized in its smartphones. Moreover if the manufacturing load increases in Korea then Samsung has the possibility to shift the manufacturing process to its other facilities in China and Vietnam.

Samsung has listed 14 stateside-based partners, seven carriers and seven retailers, and in next couple of weeks, Samsung Galaxy S4 will be headed to all of them. The list of the seven carriers which would be getting Samsung’s latest smartphones include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, US Carrier, Sprint, C spire and Cricket. These carriers will sell Samsung Galaxy S4 by the end of April. T-Mobile will have Galaxy S4 in stock on 24th of April while AT&T has announced that the smartphone will be available on April 30th and pre-order opportunity is already available. Sprint will present Samsung Galaxy S4 on April 27 and pre-orders are also available by Sprints, furthermore T-Mobile will on pre-orders soon.

The seven retailers involved in launching Samsung Galaxy S4 flagship are Best Buy (incl. Best Buy Mobile), Sam’s Club, Wal-Mart, Costco, Radio Shack, Staples and Target. These retailers have planned to launch Galaxy S4 by the end of April. The sale price of Galaxy S4 changes from carrier to carrier, for example AT&T offers the Galaxy S4 at cost of $200/16GB and $250/32GB with two years contract. If the contract is signed with T-Mobile then the upfront payment is $150 and $20 per month. For a Sprint contract S4’s price is $250 and the SIM-free price is $650.

Among major US carriers, Verizon is one to present Samsung’s latest Android flagship. Verizon has announced that it will offer the Samsung Galaxy S4 in May and the exact date is yet to be disclosed. A short tweet posted by the carrier unveiled the details about pricing and informed that the Samsung Galaxy S4 in white color will have designed the carrier’s logo on it. The I9505 Snapdragon 600 powered version of the initial Galaxy S4 will get high traffic in US as well as in Europe and the information about the availability of I9500 Octa-core in US is still unrevealed.

Galaxy Note is among the most popular devices that Samsung has released during the last couple of years. When the device was announced by Samsung, various tech analysts had serious reservations about the success of the device, considering the unusual size of the device which many considered uncomfortable for users. However, Galaxy Note proved to be a market success and after several months of its release, is still selling well.

Galaxy Note is a 4G enabled smart phone with a powerful processor and a 5.3 inch high resolution screen, making it a perfect cross between a tablet and a smart phone. Galaxy Note also happens to be one of those very rare devices that went against the expectations and predictions of the industry experts and tech analysts, who predicted that it would be a failure upon release. According to various estimates, Samsung has so far sold 7 million to 10 million units of Galaxy Note by the June of this year, which is certainly a very impressive figure.

The device was launched for the US market under contract with AT&T in February this year, and like the rest of the world, it did very well in the US market. The smart stylus S Pen that comes with Galaxy Note is perfect for delivering native handwriting on the 5.3 inch screen of the device, having an impressive resolution of 800 x 1,280 pixels. The screen of the phone is protected from scratches with a Corning Gorilla Glass.

It has been observed that Samsung Galaxy Note affords about 25 percent better talk time compared to an average 4G smart phone, working for some 10 hours after its 2,500 mAh battery is fully charged. The phone is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core Scorpion central processor and graphics dedicated Adreno 220 GPU. Other important technical specs of the phone include 1 GB of RAM memory, 16 GB of internal storage capacity, and a microSD card slot that can be used to expand the memory up to 32 GB. Besides, there is an 8 mega pixel rare end camera onboard, in conjunction with another 2 mega pixel front facing camera. The rare end camera has the facility of recording HD video in 1080p format. Samsung Galaxy Note can be purchased under a two year contract with AT&T at a price starting from $199.

Good news for AT&T consumers is that the famed Samsung Galaxy S3 would go on sale starting from 6th of July. However, the website of the carrier only displays two versions of the device in blue and while colors, while the red color, that was previously promised, is missing as yet. Previously, AT&T had announced on June 4 that Galaxy S3 would be available from the carrier. The exact release date, however, was not announced before July 2.

Samsung is still having tough time in fulfilling the immense number of pre-orders for the device, even though the company says that it has been working full time to meet the demand. In the original press conference related to the phone, AT&T said that it would be offering the device exclusively in red color, in addition to the blue and white colors that would be available from Samsung. However, the option of red color is so far missing from the official website of AT&T, and only the two options of Pebble Blue and Marble White are being displayed.

Similar shortage of the stock is being faced by other carriers. Both Sprint and T-Mobile had announced to start the selling of the device starting from 21st of June, but could not comply with it given the large number of pre-orders. Sprint finally announced on 27th of June that 16 GB and 32 GB versions would be available from its store while the 32 GB model is still listed out of stock on the website of T-Mobile.

Before hitting the US market, Galaxy S3 had already made its debut in 28 other countries. Samsung has announced that it expects to ship about 10 million smart phones by the end of July. This is certainly a huge number and would have a considerable impact on the market share of Apple.

Galaxy S3 would come with a large number of cutting edge features and unique apps. Important specs include a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED, Android Ice Cream Sandwich, 8 mega pixel rare end camera, voice assistant named S Voice just like Apple’s Siri, and several other features that make this handset stand out of the lot. Given the large number of tricks and shortcuts on the phone, users would initially have some problem adjusting with it but once they do, they would certainly be in for a treat.

Although Samsung has officially launched Galaxy S3 on the promised date of June 21 in the US, many users have been facing long delays to the huge number of pre-orders. 9 million pre-orders for Galaxy S3 made it the most highly pre-ordered device in history and due to such a huge number of pre-orders, retailers are facing problems. Under contract with AT&T, many customers have received their receipts but the company has announced that delays could be expected due to supply problems. Although AT&T has not officially announced when the device would hit the stores, but rumors have fixed 28th June as the promised date.

The situation on Sprint’s end is that 16 GB models of the phone have been delivered on time but there have been delays for the 32 GB models. The exact date of the availability of phone on stores is also unknown as yet. Besides, there are also some users who claim that they have not even received their 16 GB devices. As for Verizon, the carrier announced 10th of July to be the official launch date of the device. However, considering very high demand, the release date has been pushed to July 11.

T-Mobile is also facing the similar problems of immensely high demand and low supply. The carrier has not yet specified the date when the device would be available on its stores. Although the phone can be ordered via their official website, the release date has been pushed to June 29.

Galaxy S3 has several unique and cutting edge features to showcase, including S Voice, Ice Cream Sandwich and various other software and hardware enhancements. This device would come with a 4.8 inch display which is 22 percent larger than the previous Galaxy version. S Voice in the phone is pretty much similar to the voice assistant of Apple, named Siri. Besides, there is also the face recognition feature on Galaxy S3 whereby the front facing camera of the phone constantly watches the users and remains active as long as the user is looking at the device. All the latest features of Galaxy S3, coupled with a solid marketing campaign form Samsung, has made Galaxy S3 one of the most highly demanded handset in the history of smart phones. However, fans would have to be a bit patient to get their hands on this highly coveted device.

Samsung recently introduced TecTiles which happens to be programmable NFC tags that can be used to automate actions on NFC-enabled Android devices. Samsung intends to increase the user interest in NFC with this move. Samsung plans on selling these tags in packs of five, which would be sold online as well as via major carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile. Price per tag would be $15. The Android app that would be used to program the TecTiles would be available from Google Play for free.

According to the president of Samsung Telecommunications America, Dale Sohn, Samsung intends to expand the popularity and value of NFC beyond mobile payments. Samsung also believes that TecTiles can considerably influence the way businesses interact with the customers. Besides, marketing and social networking would also be enhanced since these TecTiles could be programmed to send a text message, load a Web page, launch an application, display a notification, or perform other tasks quite efficiently. Users would also be able to perform normal NFC functions with the help of these tags even if their mobile is mute in places such as cinema. For this purpose, cinemas would offer the TecTile tags to the customers by posting them on the walls of the theatre.

Other than various business and social networking related functions, TecTiles can also be used for personal convenience. For example, if you are about to sleep and don’t want anyone to interrupt your sleep, you can place a TecTile tag on the table beside the bed and alter the phone settling to make uninterrupted sleep possible. Besides, you can disable texting in your car with a single TecTile. Further, a TecTile tag in your office can facilitate access to the WiFi network of office.

Although similar tasks can be performed with the help of certain apps such as Automatelt and Tasker, performance of these tasks using the pre-programmed commands of TecTiles is much simpler and easier. However, TecTiles would only work with devices that are NFC-enabled. These devices include Samsung Galaxy S3 on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular or Verizon; Samsung Galaxy S2 on T-Mobile; Galaxy Nexus on Verizon, Sprint, and GSM Unlocked; Nexus S 4G on Sprint; and Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G on T-Mobile. So far, NFC support is not available on Apple devices but most probably it would be incorporated on iPhone 5.

Samsung has fulfilled its promise by launching Galaxy S3 in the US market on the exact date that was previously announced. For the time being, this device would be available via T-mobile, although eventually it would be available via all four major carriers. With the release of this device, Samsung has also launched the biggest campaign for a mobile device in the history of US. The main aim of Galaxy S3 is to compete with Apple’s iPhone, which happens to be the best selling smart phone under AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. As for T-Mobile, it does not offer iPhone, which gives an edge to Samsung.

Tech analysts are already predicting that Samsung Galaxy S3 would be a huge hit in the US market. For example, Mark Sue, an analyst from RBC Capital Markets in New York, said that “Vendors have been focusing their portfolio toward flagship phones and for Samsung, the Galaxy S3 will be that high-profile device.”

Samsung Galaxy S3 is available from T-Mobile at a price of $279.99 under a two year contract. As for the other three carriers, Verizon, AT&T and Sprint, it would be available at a price of $199.99 along with a two-year contract.

Apple and Samsung are involved in a patent battle that can be considered one of the fiercest in the history of technology. Both companies have accused each other of patent infringement and have filed lawsuits against each other in several countries. Apple has also said that it is considering a restraining order request to stop any further sales of Galaxy S3 in the US market. Apple has already lost an appeal requesting the ban of Galaxy S3 from the country.

Android OS is used on Samsung Galaxy S3, which is the operating system from Google and the widest used OS on smart phones. And while Apple is the most popular smart phone seller in the US, Samsung surpassed it in terms of smart phones sales during the first quarter of 2012. Apple would most probably release the next version of iPhone in October this year, and Galaxy S3 would be the closest rival of that device.

The previous phone in the Galaxy line, Galaxy S2, was also a very highly demanded device and set the stage for the huge demand for Galaxy S3. Analysts have predicted that considering the increasing sales of Galaxy S3, it would be even popular than S2.

During the launch of Samsung Galaxy S3 in London, it was announced that the device would come with a free DropBox 50 GB storage for two years. However, even though it was not mentioned for the US consumers, generally it was assumed to be true for the US market as well. But it seems that US devices would not be eligible for this offer since according to the DropBox customer support page, some carriers have opted out of the promotion that would be applied on the all the devices otherwise. Among these carriers AT&T is also included, one of the major US carriers.

Previously HTC also announced 25 GB of free DropBox memory for its HTC One phones, and Samsung’s 50 GB storage is double that amount. However, since AT&T and has opted out, many US consumers would have to face the disappointment. The reason for such a decision has not been made clear by the carrier, although it is possible that the carrier might be planning its own Cloud storage offer. As for the Galaxy S3 devices for the European market, they would come with free storage that would amount to as much as 66 GB. To get the 48 GB of extra storage beyond the average storage of the device, users would need to sing up for DropBox via the pre-loaded app on Galaxy S3.

At present, Galaxy S3 can be considered the most technically advanced device in the market. Technical specs of the device include a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 2 GB of RAM memory, 8 mega pixel rare and camera along with a 1.9 mega pixel front end camera, and 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor. The phone would have support for the 4G LTE networks for all the carriers offering it.

Other than these usual technical specs, there would also be some fine cutting edge features on the device. For example, it would come with S Voice which is similar to the voice assistant of iPhone 4S, Siri. Besides, the front facing camera would constantly monitor the eye movement of the user in order to remain active according to the activity of the user. Other important features include All Share Play, Group Cast and Share Shot allowing advanced sharing and editing of the photos.

Good news for the fans of Samsung Galaxy S3 who are eagerly waiting for the US launch of the device: according to the official announcement this giant device would hit all the major US carriers in the month of June. As per the official announcement from Samsung, Galaxy S3 would be available from all the major carriers such as AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon, along with U.S. Cellular, within a month. However, Samsung did not give out any official information regarding the exact release date or price of the device but a report by Associated Press has revealed that the price of the device under contract would be around $199.

Samsung Galaxy S3 is certainly the most anticipated device in the market at present. It has already been launched in the European market but has yet not hit the U Smarket. Among the important technical specs of the device are included a 4.8 inch HD screen, 1080p video shooting capability, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, voice assistant and various other cutting edge features. The voice recognition feature of the phone is called the S Voice and is quite similar to Siri of iPhone 4S. Another cutting edge feature is the Smart Stay which would optimize the use and setting of the device by detecting whether the user is looking at the phone or not. This detection would be done with help of the front end camera. At this point in time, the device would be available in 16 GB and 32 GB models, while the internal memory requirements could be expanded with the help of the microSD cards. Besides, the phone would be available in two colors: marble white and pebble blue.

According to the president of Samsung Telecommunications America, Dale Sohn, the launch of Galaxy S3 for theUSmarket is the most anticipated launch of the year. With this launch, Samsung would fulfill its promise of releasing “next big thing” for US carriers. The launch news for the US market has arrived after almost a week of its launch for European and Middle East market. Previously, an international version of the phone has already been available for the US audience with a price tag of $800. However, this version of the phone only works with the network of AT&T.

AT&T recently announced its Samsung Focus 2 which is among the high end Windows devices from Samsung. Price of the device is pretty low at $50 and it also has support for the 4G LTE network of the carrier. This happens to be the fourth Windows based device launched by Samsung in collaboration with AT&T. After Nokia Lumia 900 and HTC Titan, this is the third Windows Mobile 7.5 based device to have support for the faster of the two 4G networks from AT&T. $50 price of this phone is a particularly attractive feature that would certainly attract a lot of consumer attention.

Technical specifications of Samsung Focus 2 include a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1.4GHz processor, and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera that captures 720p HD video working in conjunction with a front-facing camera. The physical structure of the device is pretty handsome, having a height of 4.7 inches, width of 2.5 inches and depth of 0.5 inches. The smooth finish of the phone gives it a very elegant look, even though it has been made with durable and hard-molded plastic. The 800×480-pixel resolution is quite good for a 4 inch display.

The operating system for this handset is Windows Phone 7.5 OS which is found on most of the latest high end Windows phones. Good thing about this operating system is its uniformity, so if you have used this OS on one phone, you won’t have any problem using it on others. Other than social networking integration, we also have built-in podcast subscription support, and Xbox Live. Several enhancements that Microsoft made for this OS include various voice actions, music ID, and bar code scanning for identification and shopping uses.

On the app launch screen, we have various apps from AT&T such as AT&T Code Scanner, Family Map, and My AT&T. Users can also sing up for AT&T U-verse Mobile and have access to videos and TV. Finally, we also have usual Microsoft tools that are found on almost all Windows based handsets. These tools include alarm, a calculator, a calendar, Internet Explorer, and folders for People, Games, and Music + Video. Overall, the hardware specifications and software features of Samsung Focus 2 seem to be quite impressive and the phone is a pretty decent choice for fans of Windows OS. Other than the technical specs, price factor is a big plus point for this device.
